The 14th Youth Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Petroleum Society was successfully held from July 10 to 11, 2025 with registration on July 9, at the Daqing Haofang Novotel Hotel in Heilongjiang Province. The conference brought together young scholars, experts, as well as experienced industry professionals to exchange ideas and share cutting-edge research in the field of GeoEnergy, petroleum science and engineering.

The event was hosted by the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society and the National Key Laboratory of Collaborative Development of Multi-Resources for Green Exploitation of Continental Shale Oil. It was co-organized by Northeast Petroleum University, Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd., China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and Zhongyou Lifang (Tianjin) Technology Co., Ltd. Focused on the theme of "Tackling Difficulties, Opening Up New Scenarios, the conference emphasized the vital role of young researchers in driving innovation and overcoming technical barriers in the oil and gas industry.

As one of the cooperating parties, the Journal of Geoenergy was proud to take part in this important gathering. The conference provided an excellent platform for academic exchange between our editors and the participants. the journal looks forward to publishing high-quality research presented during the sessions, contributing to the dissemination of new knowledge and technological advances in Geoenergy and related fields.
